In the ES Review Guide, read pages 7-9.  Then, using what you read and your classwork, write about two things you learned about CHANGE.  Finally, write at least one question you still have about these ideas.  This must be posted on the blog or emailed to emitsiadis@wjps.org.

1.Change is always caused by an uncontrollable variable
2.Change can happen quickly or slowly
    Question
    Why does change happen?

  2. 1. Cyclic Change is when many changes in the environment happen in an orderly fashion.
    2. For change sometimes you have to predict things
How does change help us in real life situations?

  3. Change occurs when properties or characteristics of the part of the environment have been altered. What causes change is time and space for example the Earth, the moon changes because of its position in the sky over time. My question over change is why do you have to divide the rate and the time.

  5. Change occurs when properties or characteristics of a part of an environment that have been altered.
The formula of change is: change in field value/ change in time.
What are examples of situations that change can occur in?

  7. Change occurs by time and space.
Also it can be that a part of an environment is altered.
Is there other ways to cause change?

  10. Cyclic change is the movement of an celestial object such as the sun and the moon
Change happens because of an Uncontrolled variable

  11. Change happens when the environment is altered in any way shape or form. The formula to finding change is change in field value over change in time. One question I have is what other ways can you find change

  12. 1)The rate of change and it's formula which is rate of change=change in field value \change in time.
2)A predication of change is a type of inference.
3)I still don't understand the concept of equilibrium and what is it????

  14. some changes happen in a orderly fashion so they happen again. the rate of change is found through a formula which is change in field value / change in time
why is some thing like this imported for real life?

  15. 1: change is caused by time and space
2: The formula for rate of change is change in field value/change in time
Why does this formula ^^^ work?

  16. The rate of change occurs in many situations the formula for for the rate of change is change in field value/ change in time. Change can als be caused by theway its environment is altered

Change is occurred (overtime) when properties or characteristics of a part of the environment have been altered. Time causes change and so does space. Rate of change is how fast change happens. One question I have is what is the independent variable when you are graphing?

1 thing I learned is that change occurs when properties or characteristics of a part of the environment have been altered. Another thing I learned is that the rate of change is change of field volume/change in time.
Does change I always have to occur in time?

  20. The rate of change occurs when properties or characteristic of the environment has been altered. Another thing is that the rate could change with time and space, and volume.

  21. One thing i learned was that change is caused by time and space. Another thing I learned was that the rate of change can be found by finding the change in field value and change in time then dividing those 2. Can rate of change happen without time and space?

  22. I learned that when there is a change in the environment that occurs repeatedly it is called a Cyclic Change; with this scientists can predict certain events before it happens. I also learned that one thing that results change is when the one part of the environment (losers) flows energy to the other part of the environment (gainers).

Q: Do all changes have environmental equilibrium?

Rate of change is change happens in a certain period of time. The formula of rate of change is change in field value on top of change in time which equals change of rate

  25. 1. events can happen instantly (lightning)
2.cyclic change is when an event constantly repeat

  26. 1: Change is caused by time and space
2: Rate of change- change in field value/change in time
Question: Can change happen with just time or just space?
Also, why does the change of rate formula work?

  27. 1. change causes energy to move from one part of an environment to the next.
    2. when change happens, it is called an event
is dynamic equilibrium an example of cyclic change? I.E. the amount of water on the earth. it always stays as a dynamic equilibrium (it stays about the same amount) because it goes through the water cycle, which makes it a cyclic change too.

  28. One of the things that I have learned after today's lesson and after reading pages 6-7 is that change is present due to the alterations made to characteristics part of the environment. Another thing I learned was that the way to calculate change would be the formula:

    change in field value
    __________________ = rate of change

    change in time

A question that I have is ~HOW WAS THE FORMULA USED TO FIGURE OUT RATE OF CHANGE FIGURED OUT IN THE FIRST PLACE?~

  29. 1) A change in temperature will affect a gas substance the most.
    2) Everything, including earth and the rest o the universe are going through changes constantly.
Question: Is there any way of predicting exactly when a change is going to happen with the earth?

  31. 1) Change occurs when properties of characteristics of a part of the environment have been altered.
    2) Environmental Equilibrium is that general characteristics of an object stay the same.
Question: Why does environmental equilibrium occur?

    I learned...
~ all change involves a flow of energy from one part (losing it) to another part (gets it)
~ some cyclic changes are when celestial objects move
    A question I still have...
~ how many types of change are there?

  33. 1. To find the rate of change, you need to divide the change in field value with the change in time.
    2. The events that occur in an environment and constantly repeat (ex. eclipses) are called a cyclic change.
How do scientists predict a future change/eclipse in the environment?

    1. change occurs when properties or characteristics of a part of the environment have been altered.

question: What type of devices/technology do they use to view/detect a change in an environment?

  36. 1) Rate of change is caused by an uncontrollable variable
    2) Rate of change can either happen slowly of fast
Are there more than one kind of change ??
